I am so happy to be almost done with this program. I still have a semester to go since I decided to do things a bit slower than the rest of the Cohort members. I am more at peace with myself for taking my time to explore the different sites, videos, tutorials, etc provided in class. I am looking forward to the next class 702 where I will create my website? After completing this class I am feeling more inspired and happy that I took my time through the program. I want to continue to learn educational tools, to enhance my career and collaborate with others at my site to prepare students for 21st Century Skills. I want to keep climbing the steps of the SAMR model and the TPack model. I want to thank professor Pence who took the time to explain things to me on the side, and to Florencia who was very supportive throughout the program.
As I have mentioned before I don't have the patience to explore technology. One thing always leads to the other, and the next thing I know I get stuck and start going in circles. keep going . My video experience has been frustrating, but fun at the same time. I would not in my fanciest dreams dream of video editing.
I'd leave that for the experts, but this assignment has allowed me to explore video editing software and sites like never before. Coming up with the timeline and storyboard for my capstone video was the hardest part.
Thanks to the samples provided in the I-Care document and the samples from my Cohort peers I was able to have an idea of what was being asked. For my video I started with PowToon, then I tried Storyboard That, We Video, and finally I purchased a basic plan from "Filmora Editing Software". All other video editing sites were expensive for my budget. In conclusion, my Video Editing experience wasn't easy. It's done, but it needs a lot of work. The process I am experiencing through the program is perseverance, and it's starting to spark my curiosity. I want to explore more of what's out there to make my teaching experience more meaningful and fun.
I have been working on writing the paper for my video presentation. I have not made much progress, but I have been working on it. I missed the last lecture due to health issues. I just finished watching the recording of last class and started to catch up on my assignments. I am almost done.
Give us an honest appraisal (venting?) of your journey around trying to produce your Capstone Project video. How did you decide what editor you might use? What problems did you encounter? How did you solve them? The intent is open a useful discussion t

I am so behind on technology. I am barely getting familiar with google forms and google docs. I have struggled every single step of this program because of my lack of knowledge on technology. What might be common sense for some of my cohort members it is like completely new territory for me. I have to be honest about google add-ons. I had only heard about it, but had no clue about all of this wonderful resource that has been in front of me all this time. I had no idea it had a whole section for educators. I have seen the google menu, but only to access google docs and gmail. Other than that I have not used any of the other resources. I had used Flubaroo a couple of years ago after a professional development meeting at school. We created a couple of tests, but didn't invest the time to explore it more. I played with it just a couple of days ago to fulfill this assignment, but that is all. I had no clue about the other add ons. I feel awkward,, but honestly that is my technology experience. I am grateful for programs like this that stretch me to get out of my comfort zone with technology. I know that I am missing out on being more efficient as a teacher. All these years I have learned the basics needed to get my work done at school. I let the children access their programs, but I have not done anything to make my life easier with technology. I struggled with these links and apps listed for this assignment. I learned something new, but now I need the time to explore it and put it to use.
